RCPD investigates theft of $18,000 vehicle in Manhattan

The Riley County Police Department is investigating the theft of a vehicle reported Saturday evening in Manhattan.

According to police, officers took the report around 5:40 p.m. in the 1300 block of Marlatt Avenue at the Country Meadow Residences.

A 50-year-old woman told police a known 28-year-old man took her 2019 Kia Optima and never returned it.

The vehicle is valued at approximately $18,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
