Riley County Police say at least one person is dead following a late Monday night car crash near 17th and Anderson Ave.
Police say a westbound vehicle crossed over traffic and struck a retaining wall just after 10:30 p.m. The accident shut down Anderson from Sunset Ave. to 17th Street for several hours, with the roadway reopening to traffic just before 5 a.m. Police have not released the crash victim’s name.
Further details are pending as police continue to investigate.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call 785-537-2112 or 911.
