The Riley County Police Department is investigating two unrelated vehicle thefts reported Tuesday in Manhattan.

The first report was filed around 2:04 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 1100 block of Garden Way. A 20-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were listed as the victims after a gray 2007 Chevy Impala was stolen by an unknown suspect. The vehicle’s estimated value is $2,000.

A second vehicle theft was reported later that afternoon at 5:24 p.m. in the 1300 block of Westloop Place. In that case, a 40-year-old man told police his gray 2017 Chevy Cruze was stolen from a parking lot. The loss is estimated at $9,000.
