A Manhattan man has been arrested in connection with an investigation involving sexual exploitation of a child, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Phillip Andrew Dews, 32, was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 p.m. April 2nd, 2026, in Manhattan. He is charged with five counts of violating the offender registration act, five counts of perjury, four counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act, one count of sexual exploitation of a child involving possession of media of a person under the age of 18, and one count of aggravated internet trading in child pornography.

Dews was issued a total bond of $1,000,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this release.

The investigation remains ongoing, and due to the nature of the case, no additional information has been released.
