RCPDReportThe Riley County Police Department is investigating a report of robbery at a local retail establishment . RCPD announced in Tuesday’s activity report the robbery occurred Monday evening at about 6:30 at K-Scrubs located in the 300 block of Fort Riley Boulevard.
Police are looking for a suspect described as an unknown white male standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches and weighing about 125 pounds, wearing a maroon t-shirt with faded blue jeans and a light color baseball hat with dark color sunglasses. The suspect allegedly demanded an undisclosed amount of money from the register.
He was last seen traveling southbound from the business and is currently at-large. Anyone with information on this crime should contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers at 785-539-7777. Those using crime stoppers can remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000. It did not appear that a weapon was used to facilitate this crime and no injuries were involved.

Police in Riley County arrested Dereck Williams, 22, of Ogden, Kansas on Monday at approximately 12:45 PM. Williams was arrested on the offense of failure to appear, with the original warrant listed for the offense of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs. He was given a bond of $6,000 and at the time of this report was not confined at the Riley County Jail.

Riley County Police responded to a report for aggravated assault and battery was filed in the 1000 block of Yuma Street in Manhattan on Monday at approximately 3:35 PM. Officers responded to the area and found that several juveniles ranging from 12-years-old to 17-years-old had engaged in a physical altercation. Police were told this incident involved a baseball bat and two BB guns. No major injuries were sustained and police continue to investigate the matter.
