Police have responded to multiple vehicle burglaries over the past several days and would like to remind the community to remove valuables from their vehicles and leave them secured. Approximately 90% of vehicle burglaries in Riley County historically have involved vehicles which were left unsecured in some fashion. Police also remind community members to report suspicious activity and communicate neighborhood crime information with the police department and fellow neighbors. One great way to communicate with neighbors is by participating in the Nextdoor.com program. This community tool is free and connects neighbors throughout the county.
