The Riley County Police Department released more information Monday after arresting former K-State football player and College Football Hall of Fame selection Terence Newman Saturday night in Aggieville.
RCPD officials said workers inside the O’Malley’s bar and restaurant asked Newman to leave the premises, but Newman refused and the situation escalated to a physical altercation when staff members tried to escort him out of the bar.
Police arrested Newman, 48, of Woodland Hills, California, at 11:42 p.m. at the Riley County Police Department substation in Aggieville. He received charges for disorderly conduct by brawling or fighting and criminal trespass. Officials released Newman from custody on a $500 bond.
