Riley County extends KanCare assistance program

The Riley County Health Department and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are continuing a program that provides residents access to healthcare coverage through presumptive eligibility determinations and KanCare application support.

Commissioners, convening as the board of health on Monday, unanimously approved the renewal of a memorandum of understanding between the two entities. Riley County’s women, infants and children program supervisor Kaylyn Speth told commissioners that 647 applications were completed for residents since Riley County started the program in 2022.
