A construction project on Denison Avenue between Claflin Road and Anderson Avenue enters a new phase on Thursday.

Platt Street will be closed at Denison Avenue beginning July 6. Access to Kansas State University’s Lot A28 north of the Engineering Building will be via Denison Avenue and College Heights Road. The portion of Denison Avenue between College Heights Road and Platt Street will be narrow two-way traffic due to the work zone on the west side of the southbound lane. This phasing of traffic will be in effect for approximately 2 weeks.

The Denison and Claflin intersection is scheduled to open to traffic on the north, west and east legs of the intersection on July 5. Denison south of the intersection will remain closed except where noted above.

Please obey all posted traffic control, slow down and use caution in the area. The entire Denison Avenue project is scheduled to complete by mid-August.
