Flutie threw a 48-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass on the final play of the game
That play became known as ‘The Pass’

MTV banned Madonna’s Justify My Love video because of its explicit sexual content
Madonna didn’t sweat the ban, though – it just created more buzz . . . sending the fairly mediocre song straight to the top of the charts. Looking back on it now the video was not even that explicit. It certainly does not quite compare to some of the adult content that can be found on websites like sex-hd.xxx nowadays

Dennis Rodman filed for an annulment from Carmen Electra
The annulment comes just one, sweet honeymoon week after the two were married on November 14th, 1998.
Rodman’s lawyers claimed in the annulment hearing that the basketball star was, quote, “Too drunk to know what he was doing” when he married her
