ABC/Craig SjodinSince his Damn Country Music album came out in November, Tim McGraw repeatedly has pointed to the track “Humble and Kind” as one of his favorite songs he’s ever recorded. Now, he’s teasing a new video for the song, with the tagline “At this time in our world, it’s a song that needs to be heard.”
Even though he’s had “Humble and Kind” for some time, Tim says he knew the moment had come to record it.
“It was at the right time in my life — Gracie going off to school, my middle daughter’s gonna graduate from school this year, the kids are growing up. I felt like as an artist I had something to offer and something to say with that song. I felt I could put enough emotion into it and enough years into it to make it believable, make people understand that it was coming from me in a certain way, so I tried it and it worked out.”
Right now, the first single from the album, “Top of the World,” is currently a top-ten hit. You can watch the preview of “Humble and Kind” on YouTube, with the full music video due later in the month.
