ABC/Randy HolmesFlorida Georgia Line just released the lead single from their next album, “Simple,” hot on the heels of their #1 crossover smash with Bebe Rexha, “Meant to Be.”

But before “Simple” has its shot at the top of the chart, there’s another FGL song that will likely make it there first: their top-five collaboration with newcomer Morgan Wallen on “Up Down.”

“That’s our buddy, man,” Tyler Hubbard tells ABC Radio. “Morgan’s a great guy, and he’s been a friend of ours for awhile. We’ve been on tour together and done a bunch of stuff.”

“So, when he asked us to get on this song, we felt like this song was a hit and we couldn’t wait to get on it,” he explains. “It’s been a huge honor, and to watch it go up the charts — that never gets old. We’re really proud and happy for Morgan.”

Morgan, Tyler and Brian Kelley also wrote Jason Aldean‘s latest #1, “You Make It Easy,” while Tyler also had a hand in crafting Granger Smith‘s “Happens Like That” and Craig Campbell‘s “See You Try.”

So how do Tyler and BK manage to be such prolific tunesmiths?

“We just write a lot of songs!” Tyler says.

“When we have a tour, we have our Tree Vibez bus out, so we’re writing every day,” Brian adds, name-checking the duo”s publishing company. “Tyler is in town, when we’re not on tour, in Nashville at the Tree Vibez building writing everyday.”

“So I’ll be flying guys down to Florida writing…” Brian goes on. “We just try to stay creative. I think that’s what’s helped up so far in our careers, just never really taking too much time off. Just trying to get as much inspiration, organic creativity as we can, keeping this train rolling.”
