Residents of the Shady Valley Drive area are asked to stay inside of their homes until Riley County police can resolve a situation with a woman who is reportedly barricaded and armed, inside of her home.
RCPD Public Information Officer Mat Droge indicates that not much can be said at this time, although police are in touch with the woman.
KMAN’s Cathy Dawes spoke with Officer Droge just after 11 a.m.

Reports began to come in a little before 10:30 a.m., with Droge on the scene shortly thereafter.
