With Spring Training camps starting to open for all teams, Royals fans in particular are very excited for the new season.  After all, their team is the defending World Series champion, having taken down the New York Mets last fall in five games.

But if you still need a little motivation to get ready for the upcoming season, make your plans to check out the Royals’ World Series trophy.  As part of the “Trophy Tour”, you can get your picture with the hardware on Monday February 22nd at the Courtyard by Marriott, 310 Hammonds Drive in Junction City from 11am-1pm.

You can have a professional portrait taken of you and your group with the trophy, or one of the Royals’ staff will be happy to take a photo using your device.

The trophy stop will last two hours, and as many fans as possible will be accomodated.

For more information, visit the Trophy Tour page at the Royals website at http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/kc/community/trophy_tour.jsp.

Kansas City will open up defense of their championship with a nationally televised home opener against the Mets on Sunday April 3rd.  Due to the expected high demand for tickets, the Royals invite you to register in a ticket lottery.  You can do so online at the Royals website.
