Southern GroundZac Brown Band carries chef Rusty Hamlin on the road with them to cook up meals for their Eat & Greets with fans before their shows. Now, Rusty is getting his own seven-episode series, Rusty’s RockFeast: Backstage with Zac Brown Band.
The show premieres Thursday, July 23 on the FYI cable network featuring Rusty hitting up local markets to find fresh ingredients in every city the band plays. He prepares the meals in a kitchen inside an 18-wheeler, called “Cookie,” and Rusty and his team never prepare the same meal twice.
Zac says, “I’m constantly impressed at how Rusty pulls it off every night not knowing what groceries he’s going to have. It’s off the cuff every day and he makes it look so easy.”
