His previous record for most tickets sold in a single city was set back in October 1998 in Minneapolis with 162,822 tickets sold. Garth’s shows in the Chicago area this September have now surpassed that mark and are continuing to sell. The shows kick off September 4 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Tickets for Garth’s Atlanta show at Philips Arena go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.com and 1-800-745-3000.
