Wheelhouse RecordsJust as “Backroad Song” becomes Granger Smith’s first top-10 country hit, his debut album for Wheelhouse Records is now officially on the way. Remington includes his breakthrough single and the other three tunes from his current EP 4×4, plus 11 more tracks.

“I’ve always thought of my albums as diaries of my life,” Granger says. “Some songs are easy and light-hearted, while others are painful and personal. During this time, we welcomed the birth of my little boy, and we lost my dad. My life was such a roller coaster during my time writing and recording Remington, and you can hear that journey in these songs.”

“Tractor” is a tribute to his late father, while his popular comic alter-ego Earl Dibbles, Jr. emerges on three cuts, including the new “Merica.”

You can watch a preview of the album, due March 4, on YouTube now. The video for “Backroad Song” debuts this Saturday on CMT Hot 20 Countdown at 9 a.m. ET.
