ABC/Image Group LAWith Tyler Farr forced to bow out of Lee Brice’s upcoming tour as he deals with vocal surgery, Maddie & Tae are stepping up to fill the majority of the dates on the Life Off My Years trek. Jerrod Niemann and Clare Dunn will pinch hit on the remaining shows. Newcomer Dylan Scott will still play all the concerts as planned.

“Maddie & Tae are the kind of girls a guy can hang out with and girls wanna be — and they are not kidding when they strap on their guitars and own that stage. They’ve only been at this a little while, but they’re fearless and have fun with the crowd,” Lee says of his new openers. “Clare Dunn. Man she can play that guitar. She’s so talented!” he adds. “And Jerrod — he’s one of my oldest friends. We came up through the ranks together, as writers and artists.”

Lee will kick off his tour as planned February 4 in Salisbury, Maryland, though he has been forced to cancel three dates in Southaven, Mississippi; Augusta, Georgia; and Pikeville, Kentucky because of the lineup changes.

You can access the full tour details on Lee’s website.

After releasing a statement about his vocal troubles earlier in the day Wednesday, Tyler followed up with a video giving a few more details on Twitter later in the day.
