Via Christi hospital in Manhattan was on lockdown Monday afternoon following a shooting near University Crossing.
Riley County Police Department Public Information Officer Hali Rowland told KMAN an adult male was shot in the 2200 block of College Avenue in Manhattan just before 4:20 p.m.
The victim has been treated and released.
Via Christi Manhattan Community Relations Director Michelle Kennedy said the lockdown was lifted just after 6:30 p.m. The lockdown was directed at the request of the RCPD.
