A Manhattan man is jailed following a Thursday arrest on a slew of drug charges, and is linked to the death of an 18-year-old woman in May of 2023.
The Riley County Police Department says 21-year-old Luke Patrick Johnson was located in Pottawatomie County and taken into custody on four separate warrants from Riley County. Charges against him include distribution of a controlled substance causing death, three counts of aggravated battery, four separate distribution counts, two counts of child endangerment and use of a communication facility.
Police says some of the charges stem from 2022 and 2023 cases involving controlled substances resulting in bodily harm and an aggravated battery incident in the Aggieville area from late 2022.
Johnson remains confined in Riley County Jail on a bond of over $1.5 million.
