Burke/Triolo Productions/Thinkstock Thursday night the men of ABC’s Nashville perform in a special edition of the CMA Songwriters Series at the CMA Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Chris Carmack, Will Chase, Charles Esten and Sam Palladio will play in the round, alongside songwriters who’ve composed music for the show.
Jennifer Nettles will headline CMT’s 2016 Next Women of Country tour with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell, and Tara Thompson. They’ll play a total of 30 shows starting in January.
Guitarist Mac McAnally‘s eighth victory as CMA Musician of the Year extends his streak and beats his own record for winning the award the most times. He points to “I’m No Stranger to the Rain” by Keith Whitley as one of the performances of which he’s most proud.
