Justin Lubin/NBCWhen a new baby arrives, most parents start looking forward to the day he or she sleeps through the night, or is toilet trained, or old enough to say “Mommy.” Kelly Clarkson, however, is looking forward to something much simpler from her new baby daughter, River Rose.
“Is it weird that I wait every day to hear my little baby laugh?” she tweeted. “I just really want to hear her giggle and all I get are quirky smiles :)”
River Rose, the first child for Kelly and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, arrived June 12. Kelly shared a photo of the baby on Twitter on June 20, calling her, “the greatest thing on the planet.” Brandon has two children from a previous marriage.
