A Manhattan man was arrested Sunday evening on a child abuse charge.

The Riley County Police Department said officers filed a report of child abuse at approximately 7:37 p.m. July 19. An 8-year-old girl was listed as the victim, and a known 26-year-old man was identified as the suspect.

David Joshua Breeden, 26, of Manhattan, was arrested just before 9 p.m. on a charge of abuse of a child.

Breeden was issued a $100,000 bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.
