A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday evening following two incidents that resulted in multiple allegations of battery against law enforcement and corrections officers.

According to the Riley County Police Department, Nicolus Allen Weiss, 35, was arrested around 6:35 p.m. in the 400 block of South Fourth Street on suspicion of four counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property.

Police later filed another report involving Weiss around 7 p.m., resulting in additional allegations of battery of a law enforcement officer and physical contact with a corrections or court services officer. Several people and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter were listed as victims in the two reports.

Weiss was booked into the Riley County Law Enforcement Center on a total bond of $16,000 and remained confined at the time of the report.
