A 61-year-old Topeka man was arrested Wednesday on allegations he arranged to meet people he believed were minors for sexual acts.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said agents executed a search warrant at about 9:30 a.m. at 2250 SW Ancaster Road in Topeka.
Mark W. Reutzel was arrested at about 10:50 a.m. on two counts of electronic solicitation for allegedly enticing a person he believed was a child to engage in unlawful sexual acts.
The KBI said the arrest was connected to a joint law enforcement operation conducted in September in Riley and Geary counties targeting people buying sexual relations.
Following his arrest, Riley County Police transported Reutzel to the Riley County Jail, where he was booked on the allegations.
Formal charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
