Judge Jeff Elder set another status hearing on April 23 for a Wamego man accused of second degree murder during a Thursday status hearing in Pottawatomie County District Court.
23-year-old Cody Lamia-Beck was arrested in March for the killing of 19-year-old Jacob Bouck, who was found dead on the Kansas River about half a mile west of Wamego in December 2018. Lamia-Beck is represented by attorney Andy Vinduska.
Vinduska requested another hearing at which a preliminary hearing date will be set in order to have more time to review evidence acquired in discovery. County Attorney Sherri Schuck had no objections.
Lamia-Beck will be back in court on April 23 at 1:30 p.m. He remains in the custody of Sheriff Greg Riat.
