A Manhattan man is jailed on alleged sexual abuse charges.
The Riley County Police Department says 34-year-old Kristopher O’Brion Bailey was arrested around 7 a.m. Saturday on one count of unlawful sexual relations – “teacher with student under the age of 16.” Formal charges are pending from the Riley County Attorney’s office.
Bailey was a former counselor at St. George Elementary in the Rock Creek School District. Superintendent Kevin Logan says Bailey worked in the district for one year. He resigned in the spring of 2019.
Bailey was jailed on a $5,000 bond, but Sunday’s arrest report stated he was no longer confined.
