
Evergy customers woke up early Wednesday to find themselves without power as storms moved across the area.
As of this morning at 6:30 am, around 20,000 customers remain without power in Northeast Kansas. Manhattan was hardly affected by these outages, with under 5 customers affected by the storms while Topeka has seen around 12,000 outages this morning.
Silver Lake also reportedly had several trees and power lines reportedly down on Wednesday morning due to storms. St. Marys still has about 400 power outages at this hour and Onaga has well over 700 outages while Rossville has around 450 outages.
Evergy is estimating that around 1.6 million customers have been served.
