A Junction City man was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he violated a protection order and got into an altercation with officers while being taken into custody.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of Griffith Drive around 10:30 a.m. for a report involving multiple alleged violations of a protection order. Police arrested 33-year-old Austin Cody Edge on two counts of violating a protection order, two counts of stalking, as well as criminal tresspass, and charges of interference, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
Four victims were mentioned in the police report — two adult men and two adult women — ranging in age from 24 to 60 years old.
Edge was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.
