A Manhattan man is facing multiple charges after police said he was found in possession of illegal substances.

Riley County Police arrested 33-year-old Ty Suggs Tuesday morning near the intersection of North Juliette and Poyntz Ave. Suggs is charged with possession of an opiate, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, and two counts of violating the offender registration act, including an aggravated count.

Suggs was also arrested on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear, stemming from an original charge of theft.

Suggs remains in the Riley County Jail on a $20,500 bond.
