Geary County sheriff’s deputies responded to three separate vehicle-deer crashes over the weekend, with no injuries reported.
The first happened Saturday afternoon in the 7400 block of Humboldt Creek Road. Deputies say Clark Carroll of Dwight was driving north in a 2020 Ford F-150 when he struck a deer that entered the roadway.
Two more crashes were reported Sunday night. Stacey and Laura Cooke of Junction City were traveling south on U.S. 77 near Lakeview Terrace around 8:35 p.m. when their 2025 Subaru struck a deer.
Less than an hour later, deputies responded to the 2300 block of Skiddy Road after Brittney Cogswell and her daughter struck a deer while traveling south in a 2017 Mazda 3.
