USD 383 administrators told the school board Wednesday that the district’s new school schedule is so far producing positive results at the elementary level, though bus timing at the middle schools remains a challenge.
The district at the start of the school year instituted new start and end times to address bus driver shortages.
Assistant superintendent Nathan Downs said administrators have visited schools and spoken with principals and other staff members about how the schedule change is working. At the elementary level, administrators are seeing fewer tardies and lower absenteeism, he said.
