Average gas prices in Kansas went up 20.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging slightly over $4 a gallon according to GasBuddy’s survey.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at the national gas price tracking site, said average gasoline and diesel prices rose in each state over the last week because of geopolitical tensions escalating on multiple fronts.
