Manhattan city commissioners will hear an update on plans for the K-State foundation’s edge district and provide feedback on related funding strategies during Tuesday’s work session.
The district boundaries are established for both the tax increment finance (TIF) and the sales tax and revenue (STAR) districts. The commission will consider setting hearing dates for plan adoption and development agreement consideration. City officials said this meeting is intended to review and discuss the feasibility studies for both TIF and STAR, along with the visitation study for the STAR proposal.
The foundation will present forecasted revenues and expenses for each phase of the edge district 3.0 plan.
