AAA is estimating that 43.8 million people will be traveling over Memorial Day Weekend, which is the second highest total ever estimated by the company and a record 38.4 million people will be taking to the roads.
In their estimate, more than 488,000 Kansans are estimated to travel 50 or more miles this weekend with over 423,000 Kansans traveling by road. AAA’s Shawn Steward says low gas prices play a role in this.
