A Kansas City man is being treated at the Onaga Community Hospital following a one vehicle accident in Pottawatomie County Thursday morning. Willie Edward Bass IV, 30, was taken to the hospital following the accident on eastbound K-16 near Forbes Road.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Bass was driving a semi eastbound at about eight a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway to the south, striking the guard rail. The semli then crossed to the north and struck the north guard rail. Bass’ Freightliner continued through the ditch and came to rest, blocking both lanes of traffic on K-16.
