Arraignment set in Geary County child pornography case

A Junction City man waived his preliminary hearing this past week in Geary County Court in a child pornography case. Dale Holvorson is now set for arraignment before Judge Steven Hornbaker but is expected to enter into a plea agreement June 17th. New Riley County health director named

Riley County has a new health department director. Jennifer Green, a student at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Public Health, will start in August after graduating from her program with a doctorate in public health. Trees uprooted in Wamego Thursday afternoon

Homes and trees in Wamego suffered damage Thursday afternoon after severe weather — including reports of tornadoes in the area — hit the town. Louisville and St. George reported similar damage. Manhattan sales tax numbers up
