KHP responds to injury accident on I-70

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident over the weekend on 170, one mile west of K-18. A 2009 Ford Focus, driven by Sharaya Bearman (21) of Topeka, was travelling west on I-70 near mile post 302 when it crashed into the rear bumper of a 2012 Kia Optima, driven by Taniesha (37)

RCPD report 4/3/2016

Riley County Police arrested a Manhattan man over the weekend for criminal damage to property. Scott Poister (40) was picked up on the 1000 block of Moro Street shortly after 10 Saturday morning. He was charged with multiple counts of criminal damage to property and was held at the Riley County Jail on an $11,000

MHS Olympiad team places third!

Manhattan High’s Science Olympiad team placed 3rd overall (2nd in Large School Division) April 2nd at the State competition held at Wichita State University. They received 6 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals, finishing only 10 points behind the first place team. The coaches are Pat Lamb, Dick Nelson and Craig Ackerman.

Kansas Supreme Court Justices visit Manhattan

  KMAN’s Cathy Dawes had a chance to visit with Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Lawton Nuss, Justice Marla Luckert, and Riley County Chief Judge Meryl Wilson.
