Detectives with the Riley County Police Department made an arrest in connection with the illegal distribution of narcotics in the Manhattan and Riley County areas on May 12, 2016 at approximately 4:30 PM. Police made this arrest after serving a search a warrant in the 700 block of Zeandale Road outside of Manhattan, Kansas.

Weston Jones, 22, of Manhattan was arrested on the offenses of distribution of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs (X2), distribution of marijuana, unlawful possession of stimulants, possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs (X2), unlawful possession of anabolic steroids, possession of paraphernalia to grow or manufacture certain stimulants, unlawful possession of marijuana (X3), use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of depressants. He was given a total bond of $27,000.00 and at the time of this release was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.

As a result of this search warrant detectives seized various prescription pills and other narcotic drugs as well a US currency and a single firearm.
