The Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 Board of Education approved a resolution to authorize bond election for the district.

During a meeting last week the board looked over the different bond packages and all agreed on the 129 million dollar package, which was the one approved during their meeting last night.  The bond will be used to fund the Master Plan for the district which includes several district wide improvements along with a new elementary school, moving 9th grade to the MHS West Campus, and moving 6th grade to middle school.

Assistant Superintendent Eric Reid said the approval during the meeting would call for the bond election and asking permission for to go the state board to put the bond on the state ballot.

Before the board approved the resolution, they held a work session on the facility planning with Piper Jaffray.  Greg Vahrenberg with Piper Jaffray led the presentation that looked at the mill levy analysis, tax payer analysis, and the process the board will follow to call for the bond election.

The board approved the resolution unanimously.
