Carrie Underwood picked an appropriate day — Labor Day — to announce that she and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child.
Carrie posted on Twitter a photo of herself holding her two dogs, Ace and Penny. The caption reads, “In honor of ‘Labor’ Day…Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier!” Ace is sporting a t-shirt that reads “I’m gonna be a big brother,” while Penny is wearing one that reads “I’m gonna be a big sister.”
In case there was any question about whether or not Carrie and husband NHL player Mike Fisher were actually having a baby, or just getting a new puppy, he responded to a Twitter question to confirm that in fact the pair are expecting.
It’s not clear how far along Carrie is in her pregnancy. She and Fisher married in 2010.
