Manhattan sales tax numbers down again

Manhattan sales tax receipt numbers are down again in numbers just released by the Kansas Treasurer’s office. The September numbers, which actually reflect July sales across the Manhattan community, indicate $893,919  was collected for the month, compared to $920,565 last September. No serious injuries reported in Wednesday rollover

Riley County police officers responded to a rollover Wednesday afternoon on Ehlers Road in Manhattan. Miraculously, there were no serious injuries reported. Public Information Officer Hali Rowland told KMAN no transport was required. It appeared to be a single-vehicle accident.

KDOC inmate with Pottawatomie County ties released from custody
