The City of Manhattan has agreed to lease up to 300 stalls in its downtown parking garage to HCW, the parent company of the Hilton Garden Inn.
City commissioners on Tuesday unanimously approved the agreement, which will remain in place through 2030. Assistant City Manager Jared Wasinger said HCW will pay the city $25 per reserved stall, which will generate approximately $6,000 monthly and $75,000 annually toward the city’s parking fund.
“Ideally, we would like to use that money to invest into the downtown garage for those capital improvements that we’ve been discussing for the last couple years,” he said.
