The City of Manhattan says a pair of construction projects are beginning today, which will create some traffic adjustments in town.

Phase two of a project to remove and replace the intersection of College Heights Road and Denison Ave. will see reconstruction of the west half of the intersection. Work will continue for approximately three weeks, depending on weather. It will include water line and storm sewer replacement. Northbound traffic will remain on Denison. Southbound traffic will follow a marked detour route on Claflin to Sunset to Hunting Ave.

Officials will also begin construction on Little Moro between Anderson Ave. and North Manhattan Ave. in Aggieville. The city says a new trash screen structure will be constructed to free up space for pedestrians in the north part of Rally Alley. Parking stalls will be removed on Little Moro, but the city says the street will not be closed. Drivers should execute caution and watch out for construction workers in that area.
