The majority of the 15 songs on the project are designed to get fans up and moving when he plays them in concert. Spending the last two years playing for country fans across the country really changed the way Dustin approached writing and recording when it came to making his sophomore album.

He tells ABC News Radio, “All that energy that I’ve been feeling every day of the year playing music has really kind of rubbed off in my songwriting and making this record. So yeah, it is an uptempo, high-energy album. I think that’s gonna make our live shows really come to life, too.”

Dustin wrote about 100 songs for Where It’s At, but he’s only got writing credits on five of the 15 songs on the finished album.

“I had to kick out a lot of my songs, but I did so because I wanted to make the best album possible,” Dustin explains. “We recorded 18 songs. We had to end up kicking three to get it down to 15.”

Fans who’ve seen Dustin’s show have gotten to hear five songs from the new album, and he expects to add even more new material now that Where It’s At is on sale.

Says Dustin, “The fact that this new album has so much energy, it’s easy to add those new, rocking tunes to the live show to give it that upbeat, kinda party feel.”

Dustin is closing in on the top of the country airplay chart with the new album’s title track. His complete tour schedule is available at DustinLynchMusic.com.
