A popular steakhouse restaurant caught fire early Wednesday morning.

Junction City firefighters were called out around 4:30 a.m. to Munson’s Prime at 426 Goldenbelt, just north of Interstate 70. The building was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene.

A fire official tells KMAN firefighters were able to bring the fire under control just before 7 a.m. but it’s unknown at this time how the fire started.

Firefighters remain on scene. Further details are currently pending.
