Image Courtesy CMAFlorida Georgia Line‘s latest single, “Dirt,” is already a runaway hit, but the reflective tone of that song doesn’t mean they’re saying goodbye to their good-timing ways on album number two.
The duo’s Tyler Hubbard tells ABC News Radio, “You know, ‘Dirt’ is one of those amazing songs that don’t come around very often, but at the same time we’re still bringing the party on our album. We got quite a few uptempo songs that are still the FGL kinda vibe.”
The most important thing for Tyler and his duo partner, Brian Kelley, is stepping up their game after the huge success of their debut album, Here’s to the Good Times.
Looking back on that album, Brian tells ABC News Radio, “It’s definitely a body of work. It’s our life. We waited all our life to make that album, and, I think, we had the time of our life making it on the first go-around. I think we’re at the same place now with record two. We are having a blast.”
The guys are just putting a few finishing touches on the project, but they feel confident their fans are going to latch on to the new music very quickly.
“Our fans deserve the best songs,” Brian adds. “We just want an album that, just like the first one, we feel like there wasn’t one that you’d really want to skip.”
Look for Florida Georgia Line to take over New York City’s Central Park Friday on ABC’s Good Morning America. They’ll perform a few songs and make a big announcement on the show.
