A Manhattan Fire Department hazardous materials team responded Monday evening to a Kansas State University laboratory after staff raised concerns about the handling of a chemical.
K-State police and the Manhattan Fire Department also responded around 6:20 p.m. at the K-State rabies laboratory at 2005 Research Park Circle.
Manhattan public information officer Vivienne Leyva said the response was precautionary and the hazmat team determined there was no danger.
