A head-on collision was reported at the 300 block of Seth Child Road at approximately 10:45 am.

According to dispatch, there was a vehicle tipped over and smoking as a result of the crash with a person still inside. The southbound inside lane of Seth Child was been blocked off by Riley County Police and brought to one lane. They had also shut down all northbound traffic on Amherst Avenue, southbound traffic at Anderson, and have rerouted the traffic that was on the road.

Three people were involved with one man reporting chest pains. That man was transported to the hospital.

The City of Manhattan Twitter account said that RCPD are asking people to avoid the area around Seth Child and Anderson Avenue.
