For more than a decade Pottawatomie County Commissioner Stan Hartwich has served in that role, and he’s trying for the position again. Hartwich filed Monday morning for re-election and says he’s hoping to see the completion of projects he’s been working on all 12 years he’s been a commissioner, adding “We’ve got a lot of good things going on in Pottawatomie County.”
Hartwich says he’s learned a lot throughout the years, and tells KMAN he feels especially strong in the areas of road and road maintenance, having built his first road when he was only 17. And he has expertise in other areas also. Hartwich says his owning of an excavation business gives him knowledge about equipment when it comes time to making purchases for the county.
Hartwich adds he’s been a businessman much of his life and he farms and ranches, and has a good grasp of how to make a dollar and the way it should be spent.
And the commissioners says “we’ve got really good people at Pottawatomie County and I’m just proud to be a part of it.”
